Japanese style meets RYC’s nautical spirit in a pristine jewel box setting seating 80. DASHI, a stand-alone restaurant within Miami’s River Yacht Club serves stunning water views with a la carte selections.
Divided into elegant salads, like the hamachi shabu-shabu salad served with daikon radish, cucumber and shiso dressing, hot dishes ranging from sea bass miso with scallion, fennel and hoba to beef kakuni, served with carrot, onion, and potato, decadent cold offerings (must-try: the ocean scallops served with Russian osetra caviar and yuzu), soups and udons – perhaps the inspiration for the restaurant’s name (“dashi” is the Japanese word for broth), sushi & sashimi, sourced from across the world, with much of the fresh fish flown in from Japan, and a nice selection of sides.
There is a full bar offering wine, Japanese beers and a coveted selection of Japanese whiskeys and sakes, as well as an impressive cocktail list that includes a number of special libations created specifically for the restaurant including the Dashi: Toki whiskey, Youki, seaweed broth, maple syrup and a delicious house made coconut-infused Tyku Sake with ginger beer, lime juice and thyme.
Dashi serves dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 6pm to 11pm.
