Like the original, Ancho Reyes Verde brings the imaginative spirit of Mexico to life, and to the glass, using its beloved poblano chile. “Ancho Reyes Verde maintains our dedication to producing authentic, Mexican products and explores the poblano chile in a new and exciting way”, says Guindi.
The application of a different production process, which involves harvesting the pobalno peppers early in the maturation process, while still green, and then fire roasting them gives this chile liqueur a unique characteristic. The Verde is mashed and only mesh press filtration is used, the result is a fresh, bright and herbal concoction – the perfect complement to summers staple cocktails, margaritas, gimlets and daiquiris. “We have been relentless in our commitment to be a one-of-a-kind handmade spirit and are thrilled to continue that passion with the launch of Ancho Reyes Verde”, says Schneeweiss.

The Spicy Verde Margarita
1 part Ancho Reyes Verde
1 part Milagro Silver Tequila
½ part Agave Nectar
1 part Fresh Lime Juice
Method: Using a lime wedge, wet the rim of an old fashioned glass, salt it and set aside. Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake and double strain over fresh ice into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.
