The 2017 South Beach Wine & Food Festival is back this February with many new and exciting events. Here’s a list of the ‘not-to-be-missed ‘ dinners and parties.
Expect a night of beautiful beats, beach bites and your favorite cocktails at the BACARDÍ Beach Party. Taking place on the sandy white beaches of Miami with a one-of-a-kind musical performance; the ultimate beach party.
Food Fight is part Jeopardy, part Family Feud for the culinary world – a star-studded, interactive, live trivia game hosted by Fieri himself. You’ll get the chance to sip and savor specially curated bar bites from the South of Fifth neighborhood throughout the evening at one of its most iconic locations for locals and tourists-alike, Monty’s Sunset on South Beach.
Let three of North Carolina’s leading ladies take you on a tour of their home state cuisine as they bring their exceptionally fresh approach to a place known for its love of local ingredients. Joined by Burlock Coast Chef de Cuisine Gavin Pera and pastry Chef Ryan Cross, guests are sure to enjoy a well-rounded dining experience.
Miami’s Artisanal Donut Shop & Coffee Bar known as The Salty Donut and the dynamic duo behind the savory creations at the Sarsaparilla Club are coming together poolside at the Shelborne Hotel to bring a unique collaboration of fried chicken and donuts to the Festival’s signature lineup of late-night events.
Alon Shaya, whose namesake Shaya in New Orleans is the reigning Best New Restaurant in the U.S. bestowed by the James Beard Foundation, is gathering up a group of hand-picked chefs who will offer up their most creative barbecue creations at this Kosher walk-around tasting, which will also feature South Florida favorite Zak the Baker.
The spirited cuisine of one of America’s most buzzed about culinary destinations is coming South for one very special spiced up collaboration between celebrated chefs Nina Compton, Donald Link and David Kinch.
In June 2016, after two years at the No. 2 spot, Massimo Bottura’s Osteria Francescana was named the No. 1 restaurant in the world on the prestigious list of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants™. For one very special evening at the illustrious Faena Hotel Miami Beach, Bottura will bring the coveted secrets of his top-rated, three Michelin-star holding restaurant to the sophisticated sands of Miami Beach alongside special guest Giada De Laurentiis.
Experience a taste of South America at Amigos De La Huella taking place at the recently opened EAST, Miami hotel in Brickell. With fare reminiscent of the flagship Parador La Huella in Uruguay, which holds the no. 11 position on the list of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015, Quinto La Huella executive chef Nano Crespo will be joined by Parador La Huella, executive chef, Alejandro Morales will offer up the best of South American cuisine specially crafted for this Festival dinner.
Kicking off the Festival’s first late-night event in Fort Lauderdale, the best mixologists and bartenders from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach will whip up classic cocktails as well as modern takes on your favorites through the ages. Guests can nosh on offerings from a curated selection of South Florida’s trendiest food trucks and carts, courtesy of dear Festival-friend Burger Beast.
